Enjoy an entire evening of live harpsichord performance, Italian cuisine, and superb oil painting demonstration. If you are the lucky winner of this item, you will come to the South Los Altos donor's home of Artist, Instructor, and Board Member, Robin Scholl. There you will enjoy several fine activities.
First upon arrival: A live Harpsichord concert by local Harpsichordist Maria Brodsky. She graduated from the Moscow State Gnessin College of Music, and received an MA from Moscow State Conservatory, as well an MM from the University of Michigan. She has performed with the Monterey Symphony, Symphony Silicon Valley, Palo Alto Philharmonic, and Soli Deo Gloria Choir. Maria will perform a concert of Baroque Music on Robin's newly acquired Flemish Harpsichord.
Next: A sumptuous feast prepared by our very own Italian Cook and Board Member Josephine Shuster.
And last but not least: An art oil demonstration by our very own Jared Sines. Jared will do an oil painting demonstration. When Jared was 8 years old, his father enrolled him in the Richard Stephens Academy of Art, now the Academy of Art University, in a Life Drawing Class. Thus began Jared's years of Academic art training. Jared is held by many fine Galleries in California including J. Jessore and Sons in La Jolla, the Studio Shop and Rorke's in Burlingame, Pomeroy and Hoover Galleries in San Francisco, and New Masters Galleries in Carmel, the Garden Gallery in Half Moon Bay, and Portola Art Gallery in Menlo Park. In 2005, he joined the Faculty of the Pacific Art League, where he presently teaches oil painting and runs the uninstructed life drawing class. Jared will complete a still-life painting and this part of the evening will occur after the meal in Robins studio.
